My journey in the field of psychology and therapy began with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology. Early on, I ventured into the role of a Youth Worker with UnitingCare, where I wore multiple hats as a Youth Development Officer, Youth Centre Coordinator, and Youth Homelessness Support Worker.
Working closely with the young people in the community is a passion for me. I have enjoyed providing support, a sense of community, and a safe space for young individuals to thrive and find their path in life during my time with the City of Whitehorse as their Youth Centre Coordinator and Team leader of Maroondah Youth Services.
Reflecting on my journey, I realised that I wanted to work more therapeutically with people. With this newfound aspiration, I completed on a four-year clinical training program in relational gestalt psychotherapy through Gestalt Therapy Australia. During this transformative period, I completed a student internship with the ConnectGround clinic, offering subsidised gestalt therapy to those seeking support. This internship experience was instrumental in shaping my approach to therapy
I now operate a private practice in Thornbury. My approach is deeply rooted in the principles of gestalt therapy, a holistic and client-centred method that emphasises the importance of the present moment and the therapeutic relationship.I offer a warm, supportive space where you can show up as you are. I work especially with men, adolescents, and young adults who may find it hard to talk openly about emotions, stress, or past experiences. I work at a pace that feels right for you, with a strong focus on safety, trust, and choice.
I support clients to notice patterns shaped by earlier experiences, including complex trauma (CPTSD), and how these can show up as anxiety, anger, emotional shutdown, or feeling stuck.
With an embodiment lens, I support clients in exploring emotions, patterns, and experiences stored in the body. My approach includes parts work within the Gestalt framework, helping clients recognise and integrate different aspects of themselves with compassion and awareness.
I use body-based and parts-informed approaches to help you understand stress responses, reconnect with your body, and build self-trust and emotional regulation.
I am an LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity-affirming therapist who offers a compassionate, inclusive space where every client feels seen, supported, and accepted.
